Hammar MA1/ EC Hydrostatic Single Point Indicator Auto

Description

The automatic activation of this inflation mechanism requires a combination of water and pressure. Full immersion to a minimum depth of 10 cm below the water surface is required for complete activation.

When immersed, the hydrostatic valve opens, allowing water to come into contact with the water-sensitive element. This activates a stainless steel spring mechanism, which drives a knife into the gas cylinder, releasing the gas and inflating the lifejacket's air chamber.

This system differs from the A1/M1 inflator in that the gas cylinder is positioned at the rear of the mechanism. This provides a secure seal and prevents the cylinder from becoming loose during use.

The single-point indicator on the front allows the wearer to visually check the operational status of both the cylinder and the cartridge.

As a backup, the automatic system is equipped with a manual activation mechanism. The wearer can manually activate the lifejacket inflation system by pulling the activation cord.
